What materials are used to make A Perfect Jane boots?

The uppers are made of vegan apple leather (which is made of apple waste from the juice industry & recycled PET), and vegan eco-suede (which is made of recycled polyester & recycled plastic bottles). A Perfect Jane's insoles are made of 100% natural cork, which is a biodegradable material, and the outsoles are made of recycled rubber. The linings use OnSteam microfibre, which is 100% breathable & 100% recyclable (an added benefit of this material is that it complies with REACH Regulation 1907:2006 concerning the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals).

Are A Perfect Jane boots recyclable or biodegradable?

A Perfect Jane's OnSteam microfibre lining is 100% recyclable, and their insoles are made of 100% natural cork, which is a biodegradable material. Of note also, is that A Perfect Jane has informed us that they are in the process of developing an end-of-life program for their boots, but cannot say when it will be live. Fortunately, because they design high quality boots and have just started recently as a brand, their boots are long from nearing their ‘’end-of-life’’. But they have assured us that they want to offer such a program or a recycling program in the future.

A Perfect Jane appears to employ some elements of a circular economy, such as using increasingly sustainable and high-quality materials, using carbon neutral manufacturing, and employing fair labour.
