Being that Modzori shoes are made in China, it's difficult for us as an outside, non-certifying 3rd party to verify whether or not Modzori ensures its factory enforces all international and local labour laws, regulations and fair working standards to provide a safe and fair working environment for their workers. When we asked them about their labour conditions, Modzori said, "We are currently working with our factory in developing a more safe and fair labor work environment.”

Does Modzori promote ‘slow fashion’ or a ‘circular economy’?

In our estimation, a circular economy is not something on Modzori's agenda. They use manufacturing labour from a country known for its lack of human/worker rights (China); they use non-environmentally friendly synthetic materials and are not transparent about the exact composition of their shoes; they don't seem to incorporate recycled materials into their footwear or packaging; they don't use green shipping methods or packaging materials; and they produce very far (China) from their headquarters (PA, USA).
